Q: Is your delivery and pickup area limited to the map area?
A: We want to serve every rider’s needs, so if you need to discuss us going a bit farther, contact us and we’ll see what we can do.
Q: How do I know you’ve got the rental gear I want?
A: We make every attempt to keep tank bags, tail bags, saddle bags, jackets and helmets to suit our riders needs. We know that most riders are most comfortable with their own gear, but if you can’t bring it on your trip for whatever reason, we’ll do our best to make sure that you’re set up with the right riding and travel gear to make your trip enjoyable with no hassles. We also welcome you sending your gear UPS to the shop in advance so you don’t have to fly with it if you’re flying in.
Q: How much does it cost to rent a bike?
A: The cost depends on which bike you rent and how many days you rent it. Check out our “Motorcycles” or “Rent Now” page for a good estimate. We do have to charge taxes to keep Uncle Sam happy as well as a $1500 authorization to cover any potential damages that occur from drops or crashing (the hold is released immediately following the safe return of the motorcycle.)
Q: What if I can’t make my reserved pickup or return time??
A: We pride ourselves in great customer service and want take care of you. Your reservation time is yours and we will respect that and give you the attention you deserve. We often have commitments to other customers and a business to run. If you are running late, we may not be able to do your checkout until a later time that we can fit in the schedule, and we will charge a $50 service charge for that reschedule. If we are able to rearrange our schedule and know that you are on your way and late, we will charge you at $50 per hour for each hour or portion of an hour you are late, starting at your reserved time.
Q: What if I am unsure of which bike I want to rent?
A: Go ahead and reserve your first choice. When you get here you are more than welcome to take your other choice out for a test ride (if it is not reserved or rented by another customer) to decide which bike you want to enjoy through your rental term. You will need to sign an additional rental agreement for each bike you test ride and it will take us a little longer to change the paperwork, but we aim to please. We will do this as our schedule allows, as it takes a bit of time for each bike.
Q: What kind of discounts do you offer?
A: The discounts and specials we offer may vary from time to time but we are always happy to offer a discount for active/retired military, repeat customers, multiple bike rental/group rate and MSF graduates. Feel free to contact us to discuss your discount.
Q: Are tours available?
A: We are in the process of developing prepackaged tours and trips. Feel free to contact us for your specific tour/trip needs. If we can break free from the shop to show you some of the local roads and fun, we’re happy to do it. if you want a multi-day guided ride for your trip, we have some resources to help with that.
Q: Are guided rides available?
A: We are always up to meeting and riding with new people. For the areas that are day rides to us (Cherohala, North Georgia, Wheels Through Time) we will be happy to arrange a local tour. For longer distances please contact us for availability.
Q: I am interested in trying several different styles of bikes, can I rent more than one motorcycle in a day?
A: Yes, we can arrange for you to ride several motorcycles in a day if our schedule for that day will allow it. Please contact us for more information.
